"Making fig preserves every July at Barely Standing Farms is one of the most enjoyable times at the farm. It has become tradition for my parents to join us in the canning process which make precious memories year after year.  The memories are sweeter than the figs and if know how much sugar goes into a batch of fig preserves then you can understand what those moments mean to me."
